Sport injuries are injuries that occur during participating in sports or exercise. Sport injuries are commonly used to refer to musculoskeletal injuries.

There are two kinds of sports injuries:
  • Acute injuries occur suddenly when playing sports or exercising
  • Chronic injuries after you play a sport or exercise for a long time
The most common sport injuries include:
  • Sprains and strains
  • Knee injuries
  • Swollen muscles
  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Pain along the shin bone
  • Fractures of the bones
  • Dislocation of joints
