Patient Preparation (การเตรียมตัวผู้ป่วย):
1. Patients receiving systemic corticosteroids or immunosuppressive therapy should be assessed by their treating physician prior to testing.
Testing is recommended at least 30 days after treatment discontinuation, where clinically appropriate. Patients should not discontinue prescribed medications without consulting their treating physician.

2. For patients receiving chemotherapy, other immunosuppressive therapies, NSAIDs, or anticonvulsants, the suitability of testing should be determined on an individual basis at the discretion of the treating physician.

Clinical Information (ข้อมูลทางคลินิก):
This assay measures food-specific Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against 232 different food antigens. The test is intended to identify exposure-related immune responses to a wide range of foods and may be used as an adjunctive tool when evaluating patients with suspected food-related symptoms. 
     Elevated IgG level does not necessarily have to be associated with clinical conditions related to food 
allergies. The test's ability to produce results associated with food allergy diagnosis is insignificant. The 
test could generate results about the IgG level which could aid in ranking the possibility of a disease but 
is not the basis to make a diagnosis.

Elevated levels of IgG antibodies to food antigens have been observed in diseases associated with increased intestinal barrier dysfunction; in particular, IgA deficiency, coeliac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. The controversy surrounding food IgG testing relates to the significance of food IgG antibodies in the pathogenesis and diagnosis of food intolerance and a number of chronic illnesses, including IBD, IBS, migraine and arthritis. However, a number of clinical studies to date, have in fact been supportive of a role for food IgG testing in certain illnesses.
