Cataracts is a clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye. Clouded vision caused by cataracts can make it more difficult to read, drive a car (especially at night) due to it obstructs light from reaching your retina, thereby causing impaired vision.



Symptoms of Cataracts
  • Cloudy/unclear vision without accompanying pain in brightly lit environments, but normal or near-normal vision in low-light environments.
  • Double vision caused by uneven opacity of the eye’s lens.
  • Seeing halos or starbursts around lights, particularly when driving at night.
  • Frequent changes in eyeglass or contact lens prescription, with improved eyesight at closer ranges.
  • Cloudy patches near the center of the iris.
