More than 2,530 hospitals across 32 countries were evaluated. Key highlights include:

The Newsweek and Statista rankings are internationally recognized for their credibility and transparency. An international panel of healthcare experts evaluates hospitals based on four key criteria:
  1. Hospital Quality Metrics: Quality of care for treatments, hygiene measures, patient safety, and waiting times.
  2. Peer Recommendations: An online survey of more than 100,000 physicians, healthcare professionals, and hospitals managers in 32 countries.
  3. Patient Experience: Overall satisfaction, willingness to recommend, and satisfaction with treatment.
  4. PROMs Implementation: The use of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures to assess treatment outcomes, well-being, and quality of life from the patient’s perspective.

Artirat Charukitpipat, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of Bumrungrad International Hospital, stated: “We are truly delighted that Bumrungrad International Hospital has received this important ranking. On behalf of the hospital, I would like to take this opportunity to commend and thank our physicians, nurses, medical professionals, and support staff for their expertise, compassion, and unwavering dedication in delivering excellent patient care — the true foundation of Bumrungrad’s global reputation. Notably, the evaluation criteria for 2026 were more rigorous than in previous years, with increased weighting on hospital quality indicators, additional accreditation and safety standards, enhanced assessment of patient experience, and a more comprehensive PROMs evaluation framework. Despite the higher standards, we have continued to improve our ranking from 182 to 134, to 100, and most recently to 96. This clearly demonstrates our ongoing progress and reflects the trust of the global medical community, reinforcing Thailand’s potential as a leading destination for medical tourism worldwide.”

Bumrungrad International Hospital is proud to play a role in elevating Thailand’s reputation on the global healthcare stage and will continue to advance the treatment experience through quality, safety, and innovation, striving to deliver the best possible care to every patient.
