Ministry of Public Health Visits Bumrungrad to Advance Healthcare Service Standards and Support Thailand as a Health and Wellness Hub

The Department of Health Service Support (DHSS), Ministry of Public Health, led by Mr. Arthit Meethong, Secretary to the Minister of Public Health, and Dr. Akom Praditsuwan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health Service Support (DHSS), visited Bumrungrad International Hospital. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Artirat Charukitpipat, Chief Executive Officer; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taveesin Tanprayoon, Chief Medical Officer; and Bumrungrad’s executive team and staff on 21 September 2026.

The visit aimed to promote and enhance service standards across private healthcare facilities, while providing an opportunity to exchange perspectives on the development of healthcare services that prioritize quality, patient safety, and patient experience. It also highlighted Thailand’s potential in wellness, including preventive health promotion and holistic well-being, and supported the country’s readiness to become a leading health and wellness hub in the future.
