Bumrungrad International Hospital and the Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation, together with Bangkok Insurance, recently organized a volunteer initiative through the “R-SA Bumrungrad Mobile Clinic” and the “BKI Volunteers for Elderly Home Development” at the Ban Bang Khae Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons.

The event was honored by the presence of Khun Suththirat Tochonabot, Director of the Ban Bang Khae Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons, who delivered the welcome speech. Assoc. Prof. Taveesin Tanprayoon, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Bumrungrad International Hospital, gave the opening speech and presented donations alongside Khun Chawan Sophonpanich, Chief Operating Officer of Bangkok Insurance Public Company Limited. The event was held at the Ban Bang Khae Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons.

This visit included volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, and other medical personnel from the Bumrungrad Medical Clinic, Orthopedics Center, and Eye Center — over 60 volunteers in total. The volunteers provided physical screenings, examinations, and treatment to patients based on symptoms. Medicine, medical supplies, and essential goods donated by the Thomson Fund and V-Soy Thailand were also distributed to the people at the center. In total, 243 patients received treatment, some of whom were bedridden.

Bangkok Insurance supported the project by funding facility repairs and renovations value at over 360,000 baht. The company also provided medications, medical supplies, essential consumer items, a lunch service, and organized recreational activities to bring joy to the elderly residents. Furthermore, Mr. Chai Sophonpanich, President of the Chai-Nuchanart Sophonpanich Foundation, contributed a donation of 100,000 baht to support the center’s ongoing missions and welfare programs.
