Bumrungrad International Hospital and Chulalongkorn University Sign MOU to Advance Medical Innovation and Position Thailand as Asia’s Medical Hub

Bumrungrad International Hospital, together with Chulalongkorn University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic cooperation, research, and project development to jointly create and advance medical innovations and technologies. This partnership aims to address the healthcare needs of Thailand, while driving Thailand toward becoming Asia’s Medical Hub. The signing ceremony was held on January 29, 2026, at Wisit Prachuabmoh Building, Chulalongkorn University.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by physicians and executives from Bumrungrad International Hospital, including Artirat Charukitpipat, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer; Assoc.Prof. Taveesin Tanprayoon, M.D., Chief Medical Officer; Mr. Puttarapong Kanpukdee, Chief Administrative Officer of HR, Operations and Informatics; and Asst.Prof. Yudhtana Sattawatthamrong, M.D., Director of Digestive Disease Center at Bumrungrad International Hospital. Representatives from Chulalongkorn University included Prof. Wilert Puriwat, Ph.D., President; Prof. Pornanong Aramwit, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Vice President in Research and Innovation; and Prof. Rangsorn Ruknimitr, M.D., Assistant President. Assistant to the President for Innovation at Chulalongkorn University.

This collaboration marks an important milestone in laying the foundation for the future of Thai healthcare and is expected to generate sustainable benefits for Thailand’s medical and public health sectors.
