Bumrungrad International Hospital celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month, encouraging women to understand their risks, recognize abnormalities, and undergo appropriate breast cancer screening. Under the message “Don’t Wait for Symptoms,” the campaign emphasizes that early detection and timely diagnosis are important first steps toward appropriate treatment planning for each patient. The hospital also organized educational and patient-support activities, including a consultation station, a workshop to decorate hats and drain bags for breast cancer patients after surgery, a Wacoal booth providing advice on suitable products, and “Message for Her,” where participants could write messages of encouragement for breast cancer patients.
On this occasion, the hospital’s executive team was led by Assoc.Prof. Taveesin Tanprayoon, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, and Khun Nuchnapang Chukorn, Chief Administrative Officer of OPD & Clinical Service Line, together with Assoc.Prof. Wichai Vassanasiri, M.D., Director of the Breast Center, and the breast surgery team, including Sudarat Chaipiancharoenkit, M.D.; Piyawan Kensakoo, M.D.; Thiraphop Waipradab, M.D.; and Sirinda Settaleela, M.D., who joined a commemorative photo session to mark the launch of the awareness campaign.
