Used as an aid in the diagnosis of Syphilis infection and as a screening test to prevent transmission of Treponema pallidum to recipients of blood, blood components, cells, tissue and organs

1. Chemiluminescence Microparticle Immunoassay (CMIA) for Syphilis  antibody.

2. Macroscopic flocculation test for RPR.

3. Passive Particle Agglutination assay for TPPA

Clinical Information (ข้อมูลทางคลินิก):
Syphilis เกิดจากการติดเชื้อ bacterium TP ซึ่งสามารถถ่ายทอดได้ตั้งแต่กำเนิดหรือโดยการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ เชื้อโรคนี้สามารถเข้าสู่ระยะแฝง (latent phase) โดยที่ไม่แสดงอาการของโรค syphilis ทางคลินิก การทดสอบทาง serology (nontreponemal และ treponemal specific) ร่วมกับประวัติทางคลินิกของผู้ป่วย เป็นวิธีเบื้องต้นสำหรับการวินิฉัยและการจัดการ syphilis ในปัจจุบัน      
การทดสอบ Syphilis TP มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อใช้เป็นตัวช่วยในการวินิจฉัยการติดเชื้อ Syphilis และใช้เป็นการทดสอบคัดกรองเพื่อป้องกันการถ่ายทอดเชื้อ Treponema pallidum ไปยังผู้รับเลือด ส่วนประกอบของเลือด เซลล์ เนื้อเยื่อ และอวัยวะต่างๆ
