Clinical Information (ข้อมูลทางคลินิก):
Food Intolerance differs from food allergy, because it has delayed onset of about 2-3 days after ingestion of certain foods. It is associated with a range of symptoms, for example, chronic fatigue, chronic diarrhea, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, migraine, acne, and muscle ache, all of which can lead to serious health conditions, such as diabetes, osteoporosis, anemia, thyrotoxicosis, ischemic heart disease, colon cancer, gastritis and more. Incidence of food intolerance varies widely from 2% to over 20%* of the population worldwide while an occurrence of food allergy is only 3%**

Interpretation (การแปลผล):
Results are derived from internal IgG standards included in the array. IgG level for 222 food extracts  can be intepret  to the response as follow:

Response                          Range (U/ml)
Negative                            <24
Borderline                        24-30
Positive                             >30
U= Units (arbitary CNS units)

Elevated levels of IgG antibodies to food antigens have been observed in diseases associated with increased intestinal barrier dysfunction; in particular, IgA deficiency, coeliac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. The controversy surrounding food IgG testing relates to the significance of food IgG antibodies in the pathogenesis and diagnosis of food intolerance and a number of chronic illnesses, including IBD, IBS, migraine and arthritis. However, a number of clinical studies to date, have in fact been supportive of a role for food IgG testing in certain illnesses.
