All parents want their children to be strong, healthy and immune to illness. The Children’s Center of Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand offers comprehensive health services for your child by pediatricians and pediatric specialists in a variety of fields. The Children’s Center also provides physical check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for specific pediatric symptoms. The Children’s Center has a Well-Baby Clinic for newborns and healthy children receiving vaccinations that is separate from children that may be sick. Furthermore we also offer the Special Needs Children Development Center to support the age-appropriate development and learning of your child so they may fulfill their potential

The Children’s Center at Bumrungrad International is made up of:

The Well-Baby Center within the Children’s Center of Bumrungrad International provides the following services:

  1. Physical Check-Up
    • General physical check-up
    • Physical check-up for admission into school
    • Physical check-up for admission into overseas school
  1. Vaccination Services
    • Mandatory or basic vaccinations, which refer to the vaccines that all children must receive as mandated by the Royal College of Pediatricians of Thailand and the Ministry of Health, including the BCG (tuberculosis) vaccine, the DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis) vaccine, the polio vaccine, the MMR (mumps, measles and rubella) vaccine, the hepatitis B vaccine, the Japanese encephalitis vaccine, and the varicella (chicken pox) vaccine.
    • Supplementary vaccinations, such as the Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type B) vaccine, the rotavirus vaccine, the influenza vaccine, and the IPD (invasive pneumococcal disease) vaccine.
    • Vaccinations for foreign children return to their country or traveling elsewhere
  1. Breastfeeding room – a private and peaceful room for mothers to breastfeed their children in a quiet and restful atmosphere.
The Special Needs Children Development Center at Bumrungrad International provides support for the development and learning of children with special needs that include autism, developmental delays and attention deficiencies through activities appropriate for each child’s ability. These activities are designed by childhood development and behavior specialists, pediatric physical therapists, occupational therapists and child psychologists to appropriately stimulate the child’s development, which is the foundation of learning in the future.
The Children’s Eye Center at Bumrungrad International offers the following services: Eye health and vision check-up Generally a pediatrician will check for overall abnormalities of the eyes of children from birth to age three, and after age three, the US Preventive Services Task Force recommends that all children receive a preliminary eye check-up to prevent amblyopia (lazy eye), vision abnormalities, and any other problems. Diagnosis and treatment of pediatric eye and retinal conditions, including amblyopia, abnormal vision, strabismus (crossed eyes), abnormalities of the eyelid,  disorders of the retina, and disorders of the optic nerves.

The 23 diagnostic rooms are separated as follows:

  • 16 out-patient diagnostic rooms
  • 5 well-baby rooms for physical check-ups and vaccinations
  • 2 eye examination rooms
