A first for Thailand: helping the environment by serving the right food!

M.L. Sirichalerm Svasti (Chef McDang) presents his personally-designed menu at the recent launch of Great Chefs 2011 at Bumrungrad hospital. Now in its 12th year, the popular program invites top Bangkok chefs to design monthly menus for the hospital’s patients and guests. This year’s theme is “Good Food That’s Good for the Earth.” The hospital’s food service provider Sodexo, suppliers, and the star chefs created a value chain based on local produce, sustainable seafood, and other ingredients that are better for the environment.
