Generally, fatty liver disease does not show any noticeable signs and symptoms. Without treatment, there is the risk of developing liver cancer.
 
Fatty Liver can occur from heavy alcohol consumption (Alcoholic fatty liver disease), or consuming too many sweets, fatty foods, or carbohydrates (Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). Obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, the hepatitis C virus, and certain medications are also risk factors for fatty liver disease.
