Preparing for your COVID-19 vaccination

  • Make sure to get sufficient sleep the night prior to receiving the vaccine
  • Drink plenty of water to stay well hydrated
  • Abstain from alcohol and caffeine
  • If you have a high temperature or are feeling sick, please reschedule your vaccination appointment with the hospital or the Mor Prom app or Line app.
  • If you have a pre-existing health condition or are taking any prescription medications, consult your doctor before getting vaccinated
  • If you are taking anticoagulants or antiplatelets, inform the staff at the registration counter
  • If you are taking Warfarin, and have not received treatment at Bumrungrad or have not received INR test results from Bumrungrad within the one month prior to your COVID-19 vaccination appointment, you must bring your INR test results from another clinic (results must be from the past one month) to your vaccination appointment. If you do not have your INR test results, Bumrungrad reserves the right to postpone or cancel your vaccination appointment. 
  • Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for easy access to your upper arm.
  • Wear a face mask at all times.
  • Maintain social distancing by going in for your vaccination alone, or minimize the number of people accompanying you to the clinic.
  • If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, are breastfeeding, or are planning to conceive, please inform our staff prior to receiving the vaccine.
  • Do not stop taking your usual medications or start taking new medications unless you are advised by your doctor to do so.
  • For those with the following conditions: chronic respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, cerebrovascular disease, obesity, cancer, or diabetes, please consult your doctor before getting vaccinated for COVID-19.

  2. To register for your vaccination, you must show:
    • Your Thai National ID Card
    • Your vaccination appointment confirmation via hospital SMS, the Mor Prom app, or LINE app
    • List of drug allergies or vaccine allergies (if applicable)
    • Medications or list of medications you are currently taking (if applicable)
  3. You must pass a health screening and sign a consent form to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
  1. Please wait for your name to be called.
  1. The vaccine is administered by a registered nurse.
  1. After you are vaccinated, you will need to stay in an observation area for 30 minutes.
  1. Before you leave, you will undergo a final check
  1. Take your picture after getting vaccinated!
  1. Your COVID-19 vaccination process is complete.
  1. Please exit the vaccination area

Don’t forget to get your parking validated. Parking is free for the first 6 hours with validation.


Remarks: Bumrungrad International Hospital reserves the right to postpone or cancel a vaccination if there is a change in policy from government agencies or if we find that the situation may pose a safety risk for patients, guests, medical doctors, and or hospital staff. The decision of the medical team and/or hospital management is considered final.

After receiving the vaccination, patients must be observed for 30 minutes, so that staff can monitor for any side effects.

  1. Common side effects include swelling, soreness, redness, itchiness, bruising at the site of the injection, fatigue, general feeling of unwellness, headache, nausea, and muscle and joint pain.
  2. Uncommon side effects include fever, nodule at the site of the injection, dizziness, confusion, palpitations, stomachache, vomiting, loss of appetite, severe sweating, swollen lymph nodes, and flu-like symptoms: fever, sore throat, runny nose, coughing.
  3. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include high fever, severe headache, bronchospasm, difficulty breathing, body rash, severe bleeding, vomiting (more than 5 times), lip discoloration, muscle weakness, seizure, and loss of consciousness. 
Consult the doctor immediately if you experience any severe side effects after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

Service Hours: 8.00-17.00 hrs. During off-hours, Pharmacy Services will respond to your questions, or will have the COVID-19 Vaccine Information Center contact you back during service hours.
  • Service hours for centers/clinics may change without prior notice due to safety protocols put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
