The opportunity of a lifetime for young Anna
Anna or Keetaphat Daabtham, a 4-year-old girl from Suphanburi, underwent a second heart surgery on 16 January 2015. Anna was diagnosed with congenital heart disease (green type with pressure in the lungs that causes cyanosis). She had her first surgery on 12 September 2012 when she was two years old. At present, Anna and her mother (the only members of their family) are back home. Anna’s mother, a laborer whose income is 200 baht per day, was grateful to the doctors, nurses and everyone else that took such good care of her daughter. She never dreamed that Anna would have the opportunity to receive such excellent medical care. Anna’s cheerful face lets her mother know that her health is improving.
The Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation

We have now had more than 705 children receiving the surgeries. Anna is the third one of this year to undergo surgery.
