“Hepatitis C management after primary treatment: 6 months follow-up results from the private hospital, Bangkok, Thailand.”
The Digestive Disease Center at Bumrungrad International Hospital was awarded ‘The Best Award’ for its clinical research in “Hepatitis C management after primary care”. The Award was given to Bumrungrad by the ‘International Conference on Evidence Informed Practice’ that was held from January 24 -25, 2015 at the Manipal College of Nursing in Manipal, India. The research paper by Bumrungrad was selected for its thorough analysis of 6-month follow-ups with patients who were treated for Hepatitis C. During treatments the Digestive Disease Center has emphasized communication with its patients, to determine any difficulties with home administration and side effects of drugs. As a result, the paper stresses the importance of patient education and close follow-ups to minimize drop-out and maximize a positive outcome of treatment.
