  1. Starve from eating aubergines, avocados, bananas, damson plums, gooseberries, melons, mirabelle plums, pineapples, tomatoes, black/red currants, walnuts for 3-4 days prior to collect urine.
  2. No prescription of acetanilide, caffeine, coumarin, ephedrine-HCl, mephenesin, metamphetamine, methocarbamol, nicotine, paracetamol, phenacetin, phenobarbital, phentolamine aspirin, chlorpromazine, isoniazid, levodopa, methenamine, promethazine, streptozocin for 24Hrs prior to collect urine.

Vanillylmandelic acic (VMA) and Homovanillic acid (HVA) are degradation product of adernaline and norepirnephrine, respectively. 5-Hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) are degradation product of serotonin. They play a key role in the transmittion of impulses in the nervous system.
