Corner of Hope - A Cancer Support Group
|
Corner of Hope is a counselor-led group dedicated to help people
with cancer learn how to cope with the daily challenges of cancer. Our group aims
to provide a safe, friendly environment where patients can openly discuss their
feelings and exchange experiences.
Being diagnosed with cancer is scary and intimidating. It is often difficult to
find an environment where someone else truly understands. Many people need help
dealing with specific problems arising from cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Advice & experience sharing
This group provides patients a place to share and offer advice and assistance based
on their experiences and discuss how they coped with a specific situation.
Where: Conference Room 3 on the 3rd Floor, Hospital Building,
Bumrungrad
International
When : The group meets once a week for 6 sessions. Some groups are for cancer patients and their family members, and sometimes, if requested a separate group will be held for caretakers. Please contact counselors for group start date and time.
To ensure adequate support, a group will have a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 15 members and will be guided by 2 counselors.
This support group is conducted in the English language and is provided free
of charge and is open to all patients, not exclusively patients at Bumrungrad.
