This special package is for the standard Hip Resurfacing procedure.

The package includes the following procedure-related costs, exams, tests, medications and supplies as required and ordered by the physicians while the patient is admitted:

• Single Room accommodation for 7 nights in the in-patient ward (inclusive room & regular patient meals, nursing and other standard service charges);
• Doctors’ fees:
• Operating room charges (OR & recovery rooms, facilities, equipment and nursing services);
• Procedure-related laboratory tests and radiology;
• Medical equipment and supplies necessary for the procedure (excluding the prosthesis; see separate estimate following);
• Procedure-related medications;
• Post-operation physiotherapy.

The package excludes:

• Outpatient visits for consultations, and the tests and exams required for pre-operation clearance;
• Hip prosthesis (see below);
• Charges for inpatient stays in excess of 7 days;
• Medications and treatment for pre-existing or non-procedure related conditions;
• Items of personal nature such as phone calls, room services, guest meals, in-room soft drinks etc;
• Take home medications and supplies; and
• Follow up visits.

Normal hospital rates will be applied for additional services or items not included in the package.

Patient eligibility

Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk and will not qualify for the package:

• Revision of hip surgery;
• Patient with underlying severe medical problems which may affect the surgical process and require additional treatment;
• Bleeding disorders, HIV infection or other complications.

Notes:

• Additional cost of the prosthesis is approximately Baht 160,000–190,000
• Package pricing is in Thai baht and is extended to patients who settle the bill directly at the hospital only.
• No discount of any kind may be applied to the package price.
• Prosthesis cost depends on the type and model used.
