Roles and Responsibilities
- Translate to the Myanmar patients in order to make them understand the healthcare given by the BI doctors.
- Liaise with doctors, nurses and department concerned in order to provide a fast and efficient service and to solve the service problem.
- Provide the interpretation service after work hour by on call services and night shift for Patient Safety Reason.
- Maintain good understanding and good relationship between the organization, external customers and also internal customers.

Education

Qualifications:
1. Burmese Nationality only and has at least 2 years experience in nursing work in a hospital.
2. Fluent command of spoken and written English.
3. Good computer skills, e.g.
Microsoft word, excel, outlook, internet, etc.
4. For Medical Transport Unit Nurse only
__i. Experience in medical transportation and international traveling.
__ii. Must have current certificate Basic Life Support skills.
__iii. Be approved to be a nurse escort by Aviation Physician.
Roles and Responsibilities :
1. Perform tasks and duties specific for each team.
__a. Medical Enquiry Unit
- Write medical correspondence letters in English in reply to complicated medical enquiries received via email / fax / hand carry from BI referrers and private individuals.
- Write medical sponsor letters in English in response to requests from BI patients, embassies, etc.
- Liaise closely with the Referral Center and Email Management with the patients’ requests for assistance with consultation appointments, Visa application, invitation letters, accommodation, transportation, etc.
__b. Medical Reporting Unit
- Write different types of medical reports in English in compliance to requests from international patients and /or their families, BI Medical Record Department, authorized referring agencies, medical assistance insurance companies, BI physicians, Embassies and others concerned.
- Ensure patient’s right for confidentiality by verifying the patient’s instructions in the Consent form for release of information prior to the release of any medical reports.
- Liaise closely with referring agencies and insurance companies to ensure compliance of the patient’s right for confidentiality.
- Ensure that completed medical reports are appropriately scanned into the patients’ files.
__c. Medical Support Unit
- Initial response and investigation of high level customer feedbacks and incident reports.
- Provide support/explanation/coordination for BI patients and staff related to the incident.
- Provide summary of case and completion of statistics.
- Firefighting and assistance in service recovery for patients whom managers and frontline staff call unit for help.
- Perform case reviews as assigned.
- Perform root cause analysis on designated cases.
__d. Evacuation and Repatriation Unit
- Provide coordination and assistance to BI patients whose current medical conditions require certain special travel arrangements and documents.
- Ensure that the MEDIF/MEDA and other relevant documents are appropriately scanned into the patients’ files.
__e. Thai Coordination Unit
2. Prepare and update statistics on work input and output.
3. Maintain a filing system that is appropriate and effective for each teams’ specific duties.
4. Attend workshops, seminars and meetings related to nursing and each teams’ specific duties.
5. Provide coordination and assistance to BI physicians, other BI nurses and staff members upon request(s).
6. Other duties that may be assigned by the Medical Director - International and BMC.
