The Bumrungrad International Clinical Research Center (BICRC) is a clinical research facility located in downtown Bangkok, Thailand on the grounds of Bumrungrad International. The goal of the BICRC is to provide a quality facility based upon international standards for the conduct of patient-oriented research to translate basic scientific knowledge into a better understanding and treatment of human diseases. The BICRC is a part of Bumrungrad Hospital Public Company Limited. It was established in 2001 with an aim to support clinical research in Thailand by following the International Conference on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use, Good Clinical Practice (ICH/GCP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) international guidelines. Funding for the BICRC comes from research grants, the Bumrungrad Hospital Foundation, private individual and corporate donations and from Bumrungrad International. Bumrungrad International, Bangkok is the largest private hospital in Southeast Asia with 554 acute beds. It is also the largest private clinic in the region with an average capacity of 3,500 patients per day and international standard diagnostic and therapeutic facilities housed in about 1.15 million square feet buildings in downtown Bangkok, Thailand. |

Founded in 1980, the hospital was first listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1989 and its world-standard replacement facility was opened in 1997. |
