Bumrungrad International uses the latest picture archiving and communication systems
(PACS) to provide the best in digital imaging. No longer will you see an X-Ray film
on a wall-mounted light box the way they still do it on television.
PACS enables images such as x-rays and scans to be stored electronically on our
network, so that our doctors and radiologists can access an image and compare it
with previous images, from anywhere in the hospital. This is particularly useful
in an hospital such as Bumrungrad, where doctors representing different specialties
often consult one another on complicated cases.
PACS manages not only x-rays, but a wide range of imaging including
radiotherapy, CT, MRI, angiography, cardiology, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, dental
and mammography.
