Carbon Dioxide Laser
A CO2 laser is capable of removing skin tissues with precision unsurpassed by conventional surgical techniques. Moles, age spots, and warts can be removed with minimal tissue damage and post-treatment discomfort.A specially designed attachment known as a computerized pattern generator (CPG) enables precision treatment of wrinkles and acne scars. The Sure Touch CPG scanner, in use in the U.S. and Europe for a number of years, is now available at Bumrungrad International and produces superior results with minimal recovery time.

Vascular Lesion (Pulsed Dye) Laser
Our pulsed dye laser (PDL) uses a yellow dye to generate light that destroys small blood vessels in the under layer (dermis) of the skin without destroying surrounding tissue or outer layers of the skin (epidermis). It is an ideal treatment for port-wine stains and dilated blood vessels. Stretch marks, keloidal scars, refractory warts and a host of skin diseases benefit from this treatment. When the laser light hits the skin, a sensation similar to that of a rubber band snap can be felt. This can be eliminated with the use of numbing cream applied beforehand. After the treatment, some cosmetically insignificant bruises can be anticipated and can be expected to heal completely in 7-10 days.

Pigmented Lesion (Q-Switched Nd: YAG) Laser
Irregularities in skin pigmentation like tattoos, sun spots and age spots may not improve using traditional medical treatment. The Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser at the Skin Laser Center is ideal for the treatment of such problems. One treatment normally suffices for light brown or tan spots, while darker lesions and tattoos may require multiple sessions. The treatment takes just a few minutes and involves application of a pre-treatment numbing cream and a post-treatment antibiotic. After the treatment, the skin may be left with brown spots which will clear with time.

Laser Hair Removal - LightSheer Diode Lasers
The new LightSheer diode laser is a state-of-the art system specially designed to remove unwanted hair faster, less painfully, and more reliably than electrolysis.
Light emitted by the diode laser is absorbed by the pigment (color) located in the hair follicle, disabling several follicles at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair’s growth. The LightSheer laser tends to treat hair follicles that are in an active growth phase and therefore more than one treatment may be required to disable hair follicles that subsequently enter this growth phase. Laser treatment itself may cause a slight tingling sensation. Immediate after-effects may include redness and swelling, which disappear in a short time. What you can expect
A clinical study done at the Department of Dermatology, Harvard Medical School, USA has shown that:

100% of the patients experience temporary hair loss for a period of at least three months following one laser treatment. |

89% of the patients had long-term hair loss at one-year follow-up. |

Of the 11% of the patients who did not have long-term hair loss, most had blond hair. Because blond hair contained less melanin than darker hair, and the laser targets pigment, the laser is less effective overall. |

Side effects are very rare. Most common side effects are transient pigment changes which usually occurred in the darker skin types or in patients who had tans at the time of treatment. |
